Has anyone else started thinking about IceFishing? Does anyone have Summer fishing projects that you have been working on to prepare for the coming ice?

No summer projects .....fall is way better for some shelter mods and Smitty sleds...nows the time to be looking for down hill skis at flea marts and yard sales.
Meanwhile I will be charging bateries in flashers and cameras ...looking for ice fishing deals .

Our Spring fishing season was wildly successful, so I'm still happy in the boat. However, I did charge my MarCum lx6s this weekend. A full battery is a happy one.

fall and winter can't come fast enough , I have had enough of this dang heat . Once it cools down some I am making a trailer to pull behind the ATV or snowmobile .

dang gator, that's some real nice weather.that would probably get these Michigan summer steelhead biting.they have had lockjaw from river water temp being too warm.it got to 59 here the other night and it felt great.

I'm sick of the heat here in mid-Ohio! Can't wait for fall and "hopefully" enough ice to fish through this winter (for more than a week!). Rods, reels, lures, gas auger and shanty are all set to go! Think SNOW!

same up here, been around +30c for a week or so. been looking at old pictures and charging flasher batterys. saw it snowed in santiago chile a couple days ago so that's encouraging!!

Heat index over 100 pretty much all week over on the north east coast of Nebraska.Being a welder in this stuff sucks.really looking forward to moving north next summer.

I'll 2nd that one Jeff!! Lately I've been day dreaming of pulling up to the boat launch and seeing the first signs of ice forming...could have been hallucinating as the deck temperature of the marble we were working on was over 100*...either or...it was refreshing!! ;D

I'm totally ready for the ice. It'll be so nice not having to cut the grass and sweating my butt off.

I'm always thinking ice........just hope we get solid enough to drive on and hope it comes early....hope it is a November 24 type deal in NW Iowa where we have 5-6in of ice on ponds.

I changed the fluids and cleaned up my ATV. Now I can't find my backpack with all my jigs, terminal tackle or tip-up lights.........so. it looks like a complete re-stocking.

Ice can't come soon enough. I would be more than happy to put the boats away and switch snowmobiles and quads.
