I saw ice forming on Sat afternoon when i drove by ( $$beach & huddlle bay) but holy cow I cant imagine that its more that +/- 2 inches at this point. Be safe .

Looks like most of the southern half skimmed over last night. Looking from Lockhart mt Rd North to the sagamore looked like all ice.

Mostly open as of today (Monday), as was all of the N. Basin, N-west bay and most of the center of the lake.

I found myself a good 3" of ice and 50 perch before work today.
Man did it feel good to properly scratch that itch again!

I'll be in you guys' way tomorrow over the lake trout. Until noon or the perch start screaming at us to come keep them company.

Classic Lake George limit of 7-9" fish, but it was a great feeling.
I've struggled something fierce elsewhere this season. I was shocked to not get any accidental trout. I usually get at least 1 for every 50 perch in the bucket.
