Looks like it’s time to let the Bearcat out of its cage! As you alluded Jon, the foot of powdery snow on the ice was a major PITA to motor through with the ATV on Monday! And for all that aggravation I caught a whopping........1 Fish! 😡
Lol!

Right on Mike time to bust out the sleds.  My ole 95 Puma Deluxe 340 can't match the Bearcat for pulling power but it works :flex:

Exactly. A change of scenery every few trips keeps the sport much more interesting. I camp on the ice near Ticonderoga a couple of weekends every season.
The Ultimate Warrior is possessed with great power from the heavens above ! Against the mighty lake trout and pike and schools of crappie, the power of the WARRIOR will always ......... PREVAIL !!!

The laker jigs will be cut off the long rods and replaced with offerings pike will enjoy.  Ill be back to the king soon.

That snow is a blessing !

Not for us walkers  :o

I walked well over a mile to our fishing hole last week and was it ever worth it   .....  but i'm not sure if I want to attempt it with a foot of snow.
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,
Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain.

We need the snow.  Otherwise that ice will disappear very rapidly in March.

Looking at the tires on that truck the snow looks pretty deep.  Will be a slushfest before you know it.

I suggest getting there early Saturday to make sure you get a good spot on that plowed off area. LOL.

You are not kidding!  Also I know there is an ice racing event planned soon.  (I was going to participate in it)

Actually, I was pretty much kidding. They are plowing for the winter carnival which starts on-ice activities this weekend, I wouldn't fish anywhere near there. They use the ice for a parking lot, too.

Yeah that guy was plowing like crazy. It was all over. They have a little ice rink set up west of the steam boats too . He plowed everything but the parking lot at mdb.

My sarcasm was lost in typed words, I usually bring my kid to the carnival and am aware...all that said I am not kidding about the ice racing.  Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th the Adirondack Motor Enthusiast Club will be racing.  I had planned to race but my car ate the transmissions input shaft so I am fishing!

In regards to Fort Ann Beach, I think the reason no one is replying is that the ice has been questionable all year in that area, and no one wants to be responsible for someone getting wet or injured or both. That was prior to both storms we have seen since then.

Fontana that is spot on I wouldn't want that on my conscious either, unless I was physically there I never feel comfortable giving ice conditions.

He's not your typical fisherman!   ;D  I think I've watched all his videos over the past couple of years... very entertaining.

Tight lines,
