HEARTHSTONE WARNING: be careful driving down to the lower parking, if you can even get down there without ending up in the trees. I didn't even try this evening, wanted to check the shore and the roads were already slick up top and starting down the hill.

Icy or still snow left on the road?

Good luck went mdb yesterday 8am-4pm, 45-50fow, it stunk. Had some chasers jigging, couldn't hook up, not a sniff on tip ups. I would recommend really walking out there a while until you don't see any holes. And be willing to move frequently, that was my mistake.

Hi All,
I’m renting a place on Schroon Lake to jig up some lakers, but I’d like to also head down to George with my kids to find some perch. Any recommendations for a spot with reasonable parking and a relatively short walk to a fishing spot? I’m willing to march for miles for the right spot, but the kiddos, not so much. Also, of course I’d want really solid ice with them in tow.
Thanks for any tips

I assume the lake is back to glare ice after the rain and cold temps? Deciding on taking the wheeler to Harris or not in the morning.

If it's back to glare ice the walk out isn't bad at all and I will leave the quad at home.

I went online looking for the lake George fishing regulations and it’s not posted online. It says to reference page 29 of the fishing book . Does anyone have that they can post a picture of ?

The 18 is new this year correct?  It was 21 at one time.

Has anyone been back down to Hearthstone in the last day or two? Is the road still covered in ice?
