Nice fish guys. I think today was the last one for me still 6-8" of good ice out there but this forecast is going to eat it pretty quick. Two of us got quick limits this morning. Also there is a hot perch bite right now north of shepards park right now, and there has been a guy out there for two days that think he own the lake. If anyone wants gps coordinates pm me I am sure he would love the company.

It ain't over yet! Lakers were active this morning. I lost one at the hole that was all of 26". Buddy landed a 26"er and 3 or 4 23"ers. It slowed right down after about 11am.

Check out the salmon caught on Lake George on the BP fishing thread, fun to watch someone freak out with a huge Salmon on a perch rod with 4lb test it was a beauty.

Not a shanty mid lake. Something found in a parking area. Not by me but a friend. Told him I'd fish around for the owner.

and grand children. It's fun to watch them, they are 9 and 6 and they can put the perch on the ice. See you all next

What a great way to finish a very short season on the King. I met up with Brian from the BP fishing club and a couple other buddies for a day of perch jigging. We all caught our limits of nice size perch and was blessed with a 27" laker and then Brian put an exclamation mark on our season when he jigged up this 24" salmon.

While Brian was playing his salmon, I was able to drill another hole a few feet away and put my hand down the hole with his GoPro and get this video. Unfortunately, the battery went dead and it cut short, but it still turned out pretty good.

It was a great battle! It took me awhile to ice him. Crappie Killr grabbed my GoPro and without hesitating drilled a hole and put his hand under the water to get the video. We weren't sure what we got for footage until later that night when we uploaded it on the computer. We were pretty excited to see we got some of the fight on tape. Thanks Crappie Killr for quick thinking. I showed my students today in school and they were really fired up to see it!

Yup. I was fishing for perch in about 30 ft of water and I picked up the salmon on my Vex at about 15 feet. He followed the jigs down to the the bottom and grabbed it at about 26 feet. It was cool to watch. I thought is was a bass or a laker for a while and when we saw the flash at the hole it was game on!

Thanks to the efforts of the LG Fishing Alliance. Too bad we are struggling to get people to join and help out. Everyone seems to enjoy catching them, though.

CAPTJJ, what is involved and is it something that my students can help out with? We are looking for opportunities for our Club to participate in. I think the kids can really benefit from seeing all aspects of fishing other than just dropping a line in the water. You can PM me if that is easier.

Final day for me on the King today. Ice is just getting too soft and dark for my liking. Great year, put 10 salmon on the ice and had one banner day of laker fishing. Time to head north for ice.

I was on 6-7 inches all day think we're going to go at it tomorrow we landed 10 Lakers today and lost around 8. I'm sure we will be off the ice by noon though.
