You should be fine in the bay was there a couple days ago and most of it has hardened up pretty good.

Fished off Bixby yesterday. Walking was pretty good. Felt like I should have brought the 4 wheeler. Fishing was slow, but my son got his 1st laker! Made the whole day worth it.http://rs253.pbsrc.com/albums/hh56/bentleymmc/Mobile%20Uploads/image.jpg~320x480?t=1424315393

Hi guys, its been about 2 weeks since i hit the ice. Last time I was in hague it was nothing but slush and a real slog to walk out to my favorite spot about 400 yds off shore.. Has the slush gone and hardened up yet? How much ice is there and is the snow still there?

Thanks in advance... VTMike whats cookin in Blairs Bay these days??

Thanks everyone! We were perch fishing with a few tip ups out deeper, hoping to get lucky. If my son has his way we'll be targeting Lakers this weekend. First thing he asked after he caught it was when are we coming back?

I saw people parked on the north side of the road today. Looked like they got onto the lake at the turn.

Hey that's my fish.  I lost him at the hole off Hague beach today :)  He chased me all the way up from bottom (about 75 feet) and hit about 20 feet down. Comedy of errors after that.  Didn't do anything right.  Talking on cell phone. At least I did not drop phone in hole. Yada, yada.  Landed a bunch of smaller ones, but that one (your fish) is still swimming.  Congrats!

never heard back from my previous post.. i read back quite a few pages but cant get any info on the slush. hague beach north is there much slush on the ice under the snow? Would love to finish out the season strong with a few good days and take my cousin out in hague next weekend.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Caught a lot of fish this weekend but nothing big enough to place. At least got to use the new ice gator which is well beyond my expectations so far.

Was up on Sunday.  Caught 3 lakers to 23" and stopped at a spot on the walk back and was rewarded with some jumbos before dark.

If you dont have a snowmobile i wouldnt be venturing too far.  Still alot of slush spots in the hague area and north.  I fished both daus this weekend.  Saturday i was definetly not in a good spot.  My group had over 20 tip ups out and i was the only one to catch a fish that was the smallest laker ive ever caught...maybe 14".  Sunday i fished solo in the hague area and put 2 on the ice.  Nothing that would place but still fun.

Finally getting a chance to head up this weekend for the first time this season.  But I had a question I was hoping someone can help me with.  Do you think it is worth fishing anywhere near the village after the winter carnival or are the fish pretty much spooked there for quite a while?  Just looking for someplace easy to get to and catch anything, either lakers or perch.  Any help would be appreciated, please PM me if you want, thanks.
