Lake George Water Temp., as of today, (11/21) and reported on these sites is running between 54F to 55F deg.

http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv/?site_no=291830081362200&PARAmeter_cd=00095,00010,00300,00400

http://www.lakegeorge.com/boating/water-temperature/

http://www.watertemperature.net/united-states/lake-george-water-temperature.html

... these seem high, when Lake Erie is reporting at 40F deg. today !

Lake Erie did have 7' of snow to help chill it down..  Shallower than Lake George too..

Had a water temp reading today in harris bay of 36 degrees. Out in the main water we had anywhere from 40 to 41 with ice in harris warner and duhnams by docks. Can't ever remember when water temp was that low this early that's for sure

we had a very long winter, with a serious amount of ice and we had a mild summer. I am not surprised by those water temps. It will freeze early this year if the weather stays cold enough.

Wow! That is the coldest readings I can think of for November. Have done alot of trolling right until ice up, and its usually not that cold until well into December.

just like we been talking about all year Terry, cold surface temps all summer, we might get back onto that other 'motherload' lake two years in a row.   Could you imagine that?  I want a 20lber this time!

I didn't believe it myself when my humminbird read that in the bay until a friend in a boat right next to me confirmed it with his ff. I was really shocked to see ice around some of the docks and in the backwater of duhnams.  Let's pray for these warm temps to disappear and we will be in business

So while working up in the lg park a guys from the lg pc stopped by who contracted our work out. Started asking about the parking situation at mdb for the ice season and by the sounds of it we may get lucky. Parking lot should be completed and be available to park in and the new one way street should be available for parking even if the main lot is not completed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but shouldn't be an issue this winter season

go deep sea fishing on your honey moon...

on my honey moon, I hooked into a 7ft oceanic black tip shark at the end of the pier and got it almost to the beach where there was a wedding going on...I have never seen so many people scared in my life...the pier was off a swimming beach. The shark went airbourne spinning like a torpedo about 8 times. I had dozens of people following me. I was a celebrity for the 15 minutes I had him on lol. Pier owner escorting me around people and telling everyone to pull their lines up...I fought the shark for a good 5 minutes before my wife even believed me I had him hooked. Its not like I didnt have a steel leader on, trying to get a shark anyways! A few people video taped me..found one on youtube once. Cant find it anymore.

go deep sea fishing. Enjoy the sun. Lakers will still be here. Its not like I can catch them anyways. Im filling buckets of perch again this season.

alright alright settle down boys.. you guys are a riot. No one is taking her on a vacation of love except me. I just want to wait until april. You know, between lakers and stripers.  Iv been with her for 10 years raquet and weve lived together for the last 7. My honey due list is miles long Im just organized and try to stay ahead of her. Shes a good one I cant complain. Well....I will complain if she cuts into my laker time but she knows that time is sacred to me so she doesn't.  With that said if it means a lot to her to go right away were gonna go. Im sure ill have plenty of time to stand on lake George.  If we do go don't worry ss ill be deep sea fishing. Its one of the things I had to have on a tropical vacation.

I drive past Harris to go work each day.  It skimmed over twice already.  SOON...  Last year I was on the ice on December 20th.

Talking about a typical year, Lake George will begin to freeze early to mid January from South to North so planning a New Years cruise is not that surprising.
