come on ....  read the 40 pages of BS on here or the conditions and you will see people saying for weeks that the whole lake is locked up and reports of a foot of ice everywhere  ......   all it takes is a very small amount of effort on your part and you would have your info

someone asked about pressure cracks .....  here is a news flash ....  there are cracks all over the lake  .... basically it seems to me that every bay or island has some sort of crack to negotiate to get onto the main lake .....  and they change condition on a daily basis so what was safe yesterday or even this morning may not be safe this afternoon

i bring my spud bar on every lake george trip .....  and use it regularly

we went out last friday ..... followed a snowmobile track and when we got to a pressure ridge i grabbed the spud and was able to figure out that there was about a 2 foot opening from a pressure ridge that had a skim coating of ice or snow and was not safe to step on ......    one big step and we were over it and on the way

Would like to edit your post's it's possible to modify them.  Just read your post on the thread and in the upper right hand corner you have the option to modify, remove message.  This saves from posting the the edit as a new post. It's awesome to have that option incase you accidentally mention something you wish you could take back.   ;D  it's possible to edit posts from years ago.

hey ship of fools you seem to have an attitude iv noticed when people ask a question. You gave me some on a post about info not to far back. I thought this thread was suppose to be for asking and sharing info no matter how many times someone has to ask it and not get some wise answers making that person feel like he just took your first born. Just don't bother answering if it bothers you that much. Someone else will.

depends on the question  :o

ice conditions that are already reported left and right can be found easily ......  and  ......  if you read my post you would see that there was some extremely valuable info about pressure ridges   ;)   ....  if someone had stepped where i spudded they would have been swimming

and ....  the time i gave you an attitude was when you asked a question and i answered it .........  then three posts down you asked the same question even though it had been answered  ::)

that sounds like onderdonk  ;D   ......    but i always managed a few fish at the home of the honkers despite all the sleds

and .....  it was entertaining watching them do wheelies then blast down the lake at 100 mph  :o
