The Great Sacandaga
« on: Jan 31, 2007, 02:47 PM »
What are everyones thoughts on the Great Sac? Has anyone been fishing it? Is It safe to venture out?
I've only fished it during the summer. I'm not to far away, it only makes sense to make use of it.

Fished it Sunday,5 of us,caught 13 walleyes,6 keepers,3 pike, and a perch.Pike were not big,had a decent one on,but my tipups are set up for trout with 8# test florocarbon leaders, one head shake and the line was cut,we just killed a day to get the bugs out of the gear,Ice is Safe & solid!!! Went out from the Broadalbin Boat launch, fished in 17'-34',no magic depth, got fish in just about all.Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!
