I fished st. mary's pond friday, ice was iffy at best..stayed clear of the wet areas but didn't get much, might be because we didn't stay till dark for the crappie bite

in past years, I hammered bullheads through the ice on st. mary's.
whitney always had big sunnies.
there's usually so much snow in that area that its had to predict what the ice will be like.

I used to fish Whitney's a lot. Usually best early morning or just before dark. Heavy snows in that area can impede traavel and ice formation though. Lots of crappie and bluegills, some big bass.

Whitney has been the best for me.  Lots of crappies and sunnies.  Some big largemouth too.  In the spring you can catch a million (well maybe half a million) little black bullheads at Long Pond.  Some nice largemouth in there too.

Yes it sure is!!!

I have been hunting or fishing almost everyday of my life. The rest have been wasted.
