Got out on Mississippi backwaters

Made it out today on some of the bays and backwaters of the mississippi. Where there was shallow still water there was four inches of ice. The ice honeycombed this week, so don't plan on finding your structure by looking through the ice.
Not a bite though. One other guy came out and he was only aorund for about ten minutes and he left looking pretty cold.
Nevertheless, good to be out. The body handled the cold better than I thought it would. Bring on the sub zeros!

Oh yeah, just south of Winona. That first post may have been vague.
