10 hours on the Red

Finally a day of no wind 
Did not bother setting up the Cube at all today, as I wanted to stay mobile.(old school...hardcore  )
Used the snowmobile to get around.
In the morning, went north of EOM and went trolling 
Drill,check,drill,check.....& on and on.
Stumbled on on spot where the ice was only 7 inches  .....I moved away from that area pretty quickly  The ice everywhere else was about 24 inches.
Difficult time location any fish. Finally located some baitfish on the MarCum.
Tried different colours and lures......finally landed a small walleye.
Things were too slow for this angler so decided to return to my old haunts at EOM.
Not too many people out.........it was a balmy -30*C  in the AM
Ran into some familiar folks out there. They had more success then I did   
Another catfish was also landed out there 
Decided to make a FULL day of it and glad I did. The late day bite picked up and I caught a few more and missed a few.
The river is sure a lonely place when you're the last one out there!
It was a good day

Trolled only in the AM....yes I did find a gem....but lots of work getting
there

Drifts very deep and hard in places.


Had tasty walleye for supper  8)
