Yesterday at Sandy Lake
« on: Mar 10, 2006, 10:53 AM »
A buddy and I went to Sandy Lake yesterday.  We walked on to the lake about 10 -1 5 minutes to the north east side.

Quite a few people on the lake, a guy told us it was flooding out by the golf course.

We caught 7 nice sized pike. I lost another one (my first one) right near the top of the hole! Met another guy on his sled, he was in the same place as use the two days before. He caught 7 one day and 12 the other

Good place to go if you just want to catch something! :)

good fish.  i usually have decent luck there.  allways pike and the right spot will have good walleye action.  Last year in the summer my buddy was pulling up a small pike that had a 19 pounder attached to it. It bit on the the smaller one about 1/2 way up and would not let go.  we got the both into the boat.
