I have fished Caddy a few time in hardwater, nailed a few small pike but that was all. I don't know the lake well and that could be why.

General rule of thumb....whatever spot on ANY lake that is productive on softwater, is going to be similar on hard......no lake is unfishable unless it freezes to or almost the bottom.....Grump

i never fished hardwater there. BUT in the summer i go there alot and am successful. from the boat launch (park side) go west to sandbar still east of the island about 150 -175?? yards go between end of bar and dock to south i fish everywhere from ontop of the weeds to 20 is yards away there is a drop off from 6-8 feet to 12-20 feet roughly.in summer i drift it with a jig, sliding float and leech. hope this helps u out and if u wanna partner fer the day let me know because i'm off mon thru thurs. lol i'kll split the gas with ya.

thats not true about the summer to winter change. i live in a 1 acre cove off of a 300 acre lake and i kill the panfish, bass and pike during the summer but winter i have spent many hours sitting in that cove thinking that same thought and i dont even see a fish or flag up  . :'( . summer i have my personal best in blue gill and bass in that little cove. so whats the problem i dont no. and sorry for hacking your post really off topic :P

I was actually just wondering about the Crappie in Caddy Lake.  Is there any other body of water that has large numbers of Crappie in it?
Let's see...Ice shack, auger, snowmobile, rods, flasher, heater...My Walleye averages out to be $67.83 Per Lbs.

Never done well at Caddy in the winter (0 crappies actually)....they don't seem to behave typically there for some reason.
Let there be ice.
