Reason I ask is. I haven't fished them for years. Just wondering how the populations are doing.

Some very good fishing in the Louisville State Recreation Area pits.  This will give you a good idea of what to expect, http://outdoornebraska.org/Fishing/programs/sampling/2012/Omaha%20Metro%20Forecast%202014.pdf .  Be especially careful of ice conditions on those sandpits.

Thank you Mr B! I am always careful on the sand pits! You can have safe ice and move a few yards and lose it!
By the way thank you for all of your work year after year! With out folks like you we would not have the fishing opportunities that we do!
