What is the difference between this suit and the frabill ice suit? The ice suit is 100 dollars more what exactly do you get?

Frabill has bought out "Snowsuit" and combined their technology in this new suit. Too bad it doesn't float!

I think that this suit is a little lighter version more suited for layering from what I gather.

I see, I had it confused with the FXE™ SNOSUIT on the next page. :-[

This one does say the Frabill Suit bridges the gap between uncompromising warmth and ice fishing outerwear that's lightweight enough for layering.

I would look at it this way it comparison sense.

Frabill Suit ($300 for the set) = Clam Blue Suit  (cold)

Frabill Ice Suit ($400 for the set) = Clam Grey Suit (colder)

Frabill FXE SnoSuit - top of the line with the pricetag to boot (coldest)
($330 for the jacket and $330 for the bibs)

Wonder what the actual mark up is on them? Went to a show for tackle dealers that  Robinson's held last week in the Dells. My buddy owns a bait shop. He told me to ask a lot of questions and i did. What amazed me was the mark up on a lot of the products we consider must haves. I know they all have to keep the lights on, but damn. Although some companies will not have a price increase this year. They say its the economy. I think maybe they were over priced in the first place. But that's just me. I will pass on the suit.

You can pick up an FXE suit for considerable savings by shopping at the end of the season....Doesn't do you any good this
coming one, but if you must have the FXE, plan ahead.

Does anyone know how waterproof this suit actually is? I would like to use it for both ice fishing and rain gear in the summer if possible.

My Arctic Armor suit isn't waterproof at all. I found that out this past season in a walleye tourney when a rain storm blew over. I was soaked completely through the suit.

I was also soaked at the end of today after a perch trip on the ice. Just from kneeling down beside the holes it soaked my pants from the knees down. I am now looking for a suit that is actually waterproof.
