Title: Eskimo F1 Rocket
Post by: ac338 on Jan 27, 2019, 08:25 PM
I just picked up and broke in my new Eskimo F1 Rocket 8" auger today and had a few questions. The manual doesnt mention a half choke position and between run and choke is a bump to divide the two, do you leave in full choke during warmup or move it onto the bump? Also is it normal to leak a small amount of gas around the cap while running? Thank you.

If you leave it in full choke too long it'll stall out the motor.  I'd leave it in full choke for a few seconds then move to half choke.  If it starts to stall out on half choke move it back to full choke.

Thank you Chris. I was just thrown off with where the half choke position was since its basically just a bump between run and choke.

One thing to remember. Put choke in run position when priming. Once you get it figured out you'll love it.
Light weight and cuts like butter. Got mine for a steal last year and after solving a plugged gas cap issue it runs like a top. One of the best investments I've made.

Thanks for the advice. It definitely cuts fast and is ALOT lighter than my one armed bandit.
