Time to start planning.

Where?
When?

Last year I pick Wethersfield Cove due to the central location in CT to try and make it as easy as possible for all to get to. Plus it has a wide variety of fish available. Here's a link of the "results" for those who missed it.

Looking to see if you guys want to do the cove again, or suggest another location that you guys would agree on. I'll organize it either way, just want to see where else we can go that most everyone will drive to.

Hey Bri,

Alex and I missed the outing last year but we are looking forward to joining you guys this year. We'll keep an eye out for the final plans as they come together. Wethersfield Cove does sound as centrally located as you can get and from last years pics there was a nice and assorted catch of fish. Keep us posted. Thanks, David

I'm at a show every weekend in Feb, think we can pull it off on Jan? CT Outfitters will donate all the small and medium bait we need

hey i would like to go, but i have a question about it? can we bring guests and family, or is it for ice shanty members and their family's? I'm hoping it's a more the merry type of event. please let us know. but i think going to weathers field cove is a good plan. i went once last year and I'm going to go back a couple of times this year.

cove sounds good. i would like to ice my first pike this year. how bout january 30 or 31 that would be great. mongo i am sure you can bring who ever, family is always good, i plan on taking my boys out they love it.

hi trooper Bri i missed it last yr due to tourney would love to get out with all of the ice shanty members and meet face to face if there is any chance of doing it on a wk-end that theres not a tourney that would be awesome i have group of guys that i fish with that would be sure to go

;Dthe only thing i ask is that it's held on a weekend. i cann't make it if you hold it on a workday. but pretty much any weekend day is fine for me.

Absolutely! In fact, what weekend works best for you? I know you always get porked missing these outings due to your work schedule.

Sounds like so far everyone is OK with the cove again. And with Outfitters being right up the road, this one is a no brainer. Wethersfield Cove it is!

Mongo, this is definitely a weekend deal and always will be. And yes, family and friends are welcome. All I ask is that they are there in the interest of fishing. This isn't going to be a tournament, but can't be a party on ice either. We had kids out there most of the day with us last year.

I'll get the official thread up when Blaine tells us when it is.

Would love to get out again this year. It was a blast last year to meet some guys and show the kids a new place to fish. They have the Quad and Shanty pictures in their photobooks.

I'm a bit partial to Sunday myself E. That allows more of the workforce to attend.

We'll let this thread brew through the weekend due to the Holiday, and put up the official thread Monday.
