Minnow threading with big baits for pike?
« on: Dec 05, 2016, 10:35 AM »
I have been looking at minnow threading for tipups/jawjackers and was wondering a few things

has anyone has tried this with bigger baits for pike?
i was thinking of using nylon coated braided wire for the leader

the nature of minnow threading makes me think that the minnow would sit vertically because the line goes through the minnow and up to the surface?
i would think this would be a bad thing

any thoughts/comments/tips are appreciate

It might actually be a good rig for fishing the bottom, kinda make it so the bait appears to be feeding off the bottom head down tail up if you get what i mean..
