Gill Fishers: Curious if most guys simply use one line (for example, all 2 lb test) or a combo of 4 lb test with a 2 lb leader for catching gills?

John,
The Berkley 3 lb. Steel Grey Micro Ice line has treated me very well this winter, even in very clear water.

I use 2 or 3 pound Fireline Micro ice, and that works very well. Most of the pros will tell you that you shouldn't really need much more than 2 pound. The Berkley micro ice Mono is good stuff too. (blue)
- Good fishing!

I picked up some 2 lb Polaris Brand mono line at the Walmart store for 0.50 cents. I've never used Polaris, but couldnt pass up the deal.
