I was targeting walleyes, but this is all I could come up with. The ice was 3".

I ended up with three and one cisco. My brother caught one little walleye and six silvers. I have NEVER caught a walleye, so I'm on a "major mission".

Jodilynn,

Are you sure it was a cisco? ???They are coldwater fish like a trout. Don't survive the summers in a body of water that doesn't have cold well oxygenated water. Never heard of them south of some of the natural lakes in northern Indiana.

I was trying to recall what my brother called it. Maybe a drum, then. It was about 6 or 7" and boy did it stink. What ever it was, he told me I didn't want that. LOL

they are in there Jodilynn....keep jigging for them and you will bust one. We got some last year but the size just wasn't there. I think I can tell where you guys were on Kokomo. How far from the island were you?

South of the island, near a cove on the west side. A young guy caught a 17" walleye near us. He was really excited and said he was shaky. LOL I was soooo happy for him.

nice fish!!!!!!! i lived in kokomo my entire life, until 2 yrs ago. never really ice fished until then, but i have fished the you know what outta that place since i was a boy. the biggest one i have gotten outta there was 26" but was under the spillway. have caught several walleye from there bass fishin though. looks like yall had a great day out there!! hope to join ya soon i'm always down there visitin friends and family. next time we gotta visit my wife's family maybe i can sneak away!!!!!

Maybe this weekend. It's hard to make myself
drive that far when we have the chance at a walleye this close to the house!! and we'r cathing silvers about every 5 to
10 min. while waitin on the walleye. Passes the time!!
