Title: Plump Pike
Post by: axle54 on Feb 19, 2008, 10:07 AM: Caught my first PIKE... Not to long but he/she was PLUMP.... 30". I did not weigh it. But it actually was chubby...
New York, Lake Lonely on Tipup in 15' of water. Treble hook on steel leader with large bait (Shiner?) Released to swim again.

Does it mean it was full of eggs or just had good eatin ???

She'll be depositing those eggs very soon. That was a responsible action to return a fish like that. Our fisheries would be 3 fold if everyone did the same...thanks.
