sort of ice fishing

headed to the cape to do some open water brown hunting and found 5yds of ice surrounding the edge of most of the trout ponds. broke up the ice and set some bait rods and got a couple browns with the biggest being almost 20in.

Nice fish!  Loon makes a product to put on your fly rod guides to prevent icing.
