I had a buddy that went it out yesterday. Said there was 4 inches but it was "sketchy". Also said there was still parts wide open (North end).  Going to be cold this week so it should help.

I was there on Sunday, there was about  six and a half inches and several people there, so I'd say the ice was pretty good everywhere.

Agreed , this year the ice has been crazy so far, looks can be deceiving, snow is an insulator boys it doesn't help with freezing unless its wet first and even then it can mess up good ice. Don't rely on posts rather take the information shared and go see for yourself with planning accordingly. I know everyone is just trying to help but for the Berkshires to have shady ice half way through Jan is a sign lol something aint right.

Yeah after the island the ice looked mighty sketchy.  I was on 5-8 everywhere I went yesterday as well but there was some slushy spots and it was pretty cold yesterday.

I guess I should have said "solid around the edges" and believe me I only went out because there were fisherman already on the lake.
