Ice fishing trip to Okoboji

I'm heading up to fish Okoboji on Wednesday. My dad was there last weekend and he said that he saw some guys outside on the ice without any shacks on east lake by Triggs Bay resort.

When we went for lunch around noon everything I saw on west was wide open. When we got done fishing around 5 smiths bay was all skim ice. Drove down to Emerson ramp and that was locked up too. Snow tomorrow is not going to be good for making ice, hope it blows hard.

.  Do not hope it blows hard until most all water surfaces are froze over.
