Careful on Emerson with trucks.  Around the ramp there is plenty of ice, but in my opinion, the main bay is not ready. There are a couple of seams in strange spots this year.  Fishing wasn't any good either

Still pretty slow on all the lakes,, Spirit the walleye's are on and off ,,perch are there but not biting very good...
West Okoboji,,,i've picked up a few walleye's,, bluegills are hit and miss and not many when i have found them,, perch all i have found are smaller ones...Ice is anywhere from 8" to a foot+,,, water clarity on west is gin clear...

Tried Emerson today. Got one small perch seen a few gills didn't wanna bite. Moved a few times on Emerson, don't think many guys were having luck lots of people moving and trying to find fish.

Said the heck with Emerson went to spirt out of anglers by big Stoney. Marked a lot of fish figured they were perch they followed and wouldn't bite anything we threw at them. A little later I think we had a few walleyes come on they'd fallow up and down. I had around three ok-soft bites on just minnow heads, but didn't get them hooked. Other then that marked fish, just none wanted to bite.

LOLOLOLOLOL 1 walleye pic posted online and 1 group had a fair day.....Yes the bite is totaly on.... LOL.... I have 5-6 friends that fished hard all day for little to nothing, and these guys can catch fish under tougher than tough conditions....If they arent catching then you know it's a tough bite...

Plenty of fish to be caught at the lakes. You just have to find them and quit listening to the BS Kabeles is feeding ya all with on Spirit. If you want to see perch all day that aren't going to bite, and are small, well have fun on Spirit. The only people saying that Spirit is hot is Kabeles. Fish are biting elsewhere, you just got to go find them, and try somewhere else besides Spirit!

Fishing has been pretty dead. When you see people posting pictures of fish from Minnewashta you know things are bad. I have never seen the fish this spread out. I heard some reports from guys who fish every day that there will be a lot of fish in a spot one day and none the rest. I haven't seen any of the days with a lot anywhere. I advise everyone to go. Please find some fish and then post here where I should try. My next trip more than 30 miles I might go to 3 mile.
Every plastics manufacturer claims plastics outfish livebait. So now I use livebait just for the increased challenge.

Fished all day and never caught a fish.  Was on Emerson until 3 or so and moved all over drilling holes for nothing.  Every Bluegill I saw acted like it didn't even see my lure.  Once I got to spirit I went by big stony and saw tons of perch on camera but 90% were dinks.  Never caught anything but saw 4 dink walleye.
