Title: Last Night's Burbot

Hey all, I'm tired as heck today but last night was worth it.  Now Jake I'm not trying to move in on your action, you are still the Burbot king ;D  Just thought some folks might enjoy these pics...

what did that big one wiegh? those are some nice fish and the big one had quite the girth

Very impressive,the only time I ever caught them was in Alaska,man were they great to eat!!!!

My scales are screwed so I never got a chance to weigh it, I would estimate it at around ten pounds.  I've noticed lake fish seem to be fatter than the river fish.

JEEZ TREVOR!!!  ::) ::) THat is one nice group of fish.  That big one is a PIG, oink oink.....  I would guess about 13lb.?  Hope ya have a good feed! ;D   -Barleydog

I'm counting twenty in that first picture. Where can you keep twenty fish? There must have been two of you? Great catch. Man, you really are making me want to come up there now. >:( >:(

Yes there were two.  My neighbor Ron was with me, and yes, you should come up.  Of course I would bet dollars to doughnuts there are fisheries just as good where you are.  Just need to fish harder to find them ;D

Wow.....that's a tone of fish to eat. Fish for breakfast, lunch & dinner!!! I heard they taste very good. I don't think there are too many places in Massachusetts to fish for them. I usually trow them all back but I wouldn't mind trying one of them.

p.s. Am I correct in saying these are some of the other names for these fish? Burbot, ling, cusk, eelpout.
