Ice Fishing Tournaments
« on: Oct 20, 2010, 11:36 AM »
Does anyone know about any ice fishing tournaments that are gonna happen this year? I went to a few last year and was wondering when/where any tournaments might happen

There are some cabins there, but I don't know anything about them. The next time I go by them I will get the name and find out if they rent in the winter for ya. I know if you have a camper you can camp for 10$ a night at Sheridan lake.

If you're in Hecla, definitely want to consider the NAIFC tourney on Richmond. The current individual Gold Medal holding World Champion will be fishing it. So he should have some good tips.
If they do what they did last year they have a deal for Kids on Saturday where they can go out fishing and get some free stuff. They couldn't go fishing last year, was about -20, but hopefully this year it will work out.
I work every Sunday (Funny how they expect the preacher to be in church on Sunday), but am considering getting it off to participate. $200 entry fee per team. Maybe see you there!

They caught fish.

Season 2 Episode 4 is the Aberdeen Tourney

Some of the guys on the show were part of Team USA at the International tournament in WI. Couldn't use any electronics or gas augers. Mike Boedeker from this show is the Individual Gold Medalist.

Team from ND won the Richmond Tourney.

Stumpers got the info there for you.

Saw a flier in passing at a local restaurant in Redfield. Aberdeen area guys, looks like there is a January 8th Tournament at Scatterwood Lakes. Not sure if it was North or South Scatterwood. Scatterwood is south west of Aberdeen, near Chelsea. Not sure on the details, we were rushing out the door to meet someone, so I'll have to go back, but my wife said she thought she saw $10 as the entry fee. I'm sure Ken's has info on it.
