That looks real good.  If I had one I'd live in it for the entire ice season.  Then again it cold always double for a good place to hide out when the wife gets mad.  LOL

Thank you for the reply since you will be transporting the shanty back and forth from home to lake(s) the roof should not be a problem.

And I am not going to leave this shack on the lake over the week
;D ;D I think when you are finished with the build up, this will be your new home! Looking great, keep up the good work.

I had bunks in my last shack and I didn't like how they limited different set ups inside so this one will just have some nice favelas cots that will be put away during the day.

Awesome job on this shanty! enjoying the post and all the pics. What are you gonna use for trim on all the corners and at the v- point? I am building a very similar rig to yours right now, and not sure what to use for corner trim and such. I think the home center stuff is kind off weak and thin for my use. I really want to bend my own out of diamond plate, but do not know anyone with a heavy duty 8' bending brake.....

Thanks, jimmyrig

Well around the windows I am going to use 2.5x2.5  store bought white trim, but I am not sure what to use on the corners and front of the V. I wanted to do dimond plate as well but man  that stuffs pricey.

Over the week end I got most of the wireing done. Over 200' of 12v wire and 50' of each 120v and trIler wireing. Not much to take pics of but I would if anyone requested them. Thanks for following my build I hope there are enough.

That is one SWEET Shack !!! I am glad that you you are building it. I got mine out twice this year and I am going to build a drop down for it. Cut the skids off and bolt it on the trailer. I am going to copy your plans (If you don't care). I was wondering if you have anymore photos of your axle design ? I will PM you .

Again Da, that is an awesome job.

I started installing my exterior running lights. I have big orange ones about 3 feet uP from the bottom and then little orange one s about 10" down from the top. Ther will be 2 of each on both sides and then 1 of each on both sides of the V. I will put red ones on top in the back and then a triple red in the middle of the back and a break/turn signal night on the bottom on both sides at the back.

Well as I said here are some pics
my wire ends all in one place for easy hookup when time comes. I made lots of different circuts to keep things from dimming down to bad.

interior out let.

exterior outlet

tail lights all hooked up and working

This is a mount I built for a magnetic orange strobe light, to help people that are coming on the ice find were I am at and to help the shack be seen if it is snowing too bad.

All the window holes are cut out here are multiple views.

Looking good , curious what type of insulation are you going to use and how is the interior going to be finished. I like the strobe light idea, you might have some people thinking you are running some type of business.
