Title: Late season
Post by: ianwuzhere on Mar 31, 2018, 11:25 AM
April 1st tomoro, -12c this morning and still a couple feet of snow out there. Was out ice fishing last weekend and ice was rite to the bottom of the hand auger- had to kick away hard crusty snow to break thru the last couple inches of ice. Couple weeks behind compared to the last few nice winters we are having. Its a blue blazer day out there today so cold but when the sun starts to show up it feels warm and the ice will be turning back into fishable water soon..
My guess is May 1 for most of the lakes until the bent fly rods start happening around home.

Thanks for the report, I'm planning on getting out on the ice this week around Kamloops and Merritt I hope the fish cooperate!
