Is what it is-
« on: Dec 18, 2017, 09:12 PM »
1st  iced perch of the season for me and Ronco.   We ended up with a dozen or so. Missed a bunch, weird bite. Basically the bite was non-existent. Got lots of exercise hiking over the cliff of doom.  ice in back was 8-9 inches. Coming out we by-passed the cliff on the ice it was fine.  Skim ice was past the island.

I won't be able to hit it until after Christmas but by then there should be good ice over the money hole.  Thanks for the report.  It can be tough fishing for perch when you can't move around to find them.

Nice! I haven’t tried the water to the North yet, but now that I am retired (Army) I will have plenty of time to try new waters. I have been craving perch tacos since the end of last season!

Awesome.  Glad you got up over the cliff of doom.  If you were able to walk back on ice along the cliff...ice is much better today.  It was cold last night.  After the next cold snap there will be a lot of water to search for dink perches.  Looks like they haven't grown...unless that is a 10" ice scoop?  ;)  I may go for truchas on Wednesday but no hiking  :)

The hike is good for you.  It builds character and endurance.  Also keeps the riff-raff out! ;D
