11 Mile - 28 Dec 2011

Had a good day today at the Mile.  Fished with good ole Flychucker and we had a good time.  Had plenty of fish come through and Flychucker had a big old pike stare down his bait for four minutes before moving on.  No wind to speak off with mild temps.  Tube jigs were the ticket for most of the day.  The biggest that was iced went 20" and was stuffed with small crawdads and a 5-6" fish.  I guess that why tube jigs worked so well.

Nice catch guys. I'm still not seeing the number of fish as I did last year at this time. I only caught a few trout and one small pike yesterday. At least the snow is starting to pack down to make it
easier to move around with a sled. Tight lines.

Nice fish indeed.  I fished up there all day yesterday and had one small bite.  I've been skunked the last two times I went.  I fished the marina and coyote ridge, perhaps I am not in the right place, cause there was no action.  Glad you got into some fish, nice fatties.  Thanks for posting them.

Billk - we fished the same general area as you so don't give up!  There are some honeyholes out there!
