We fished deep water Sat, same areas as past weekends.  The ice is 18" thick no slush - 10" black and 8" of white solid frozen slush.  There was 6-8" of snow on top and a few deeper drifts, the pull was tough due to sled pushing snow.  The top surface of the ice is rough due to ruts where the trails and fishing areas were established over the past weeks.  Snowmobiles looked to have no problems but we saw no ATV's out Sat.  The bite was on and off all day not like the constant bite the past weekends.   Still using perch eyes with larger jigs.  Two of us sorted out (26) nice 8-10" perch, caught over 40.

Haven't hooked any walleye yet. Have done well on perch in the deeper water of 35+. What do you do different to attract walleye?

When I fish for eyes, I'm NOT where I fish for perch. Structure I fish is different for eyes than perch.

Hit the ice this a.m. drag wasn't awful, BUT, it was far from good.. fished in 24 fow..  should've been deeper I think..had a couple really good marks that followed the jig, but wasn't aggressively interested.. ended up skunked and off the ice by 9

We're running out of time, with temps rising as forecasted.  The drag will be a slushy mess soon.

On Sat. out of Long-Point the ice was 18" thick no slush - 10" black and 8" of white solid frozen slush.  There was 6-8" of snow on top and a few deeper drifts, the pull was tough due to sled pushing snow.  The top surface of the ice is rough due to ruts where the trails and fishing areas were established over the past weeks.  If you read back a few days you can most likely find an ice conditions report or go to the conditions and report section.

we went out on long pt yest, got out around the point & walked north a few hundred yrds. 4 of us limited out 200 between 8-11 inches. each of us caught over a hundred fish ,lots of throw backs . bite all day long . couple small walleye assuming those were the stockies. most of them on minnows & perch eyes

first hundred yards was about a fresh foot of snow. After that it wasn't too bad cuz of the snowmobilers.

Took my daughter to Mayville a couple weeks ago and she had a blast.  We caught mostly perch - I was pretty much unhooking fish for her for 3 hrs.  I hear they're still getting perch, gills, and some crappie there.

I fished long point last weekend and the bite was pretty good but a little slower than Mayville.  Lots of kids there too.

Just got in from Dewittville. Only slush I found was from the shore out about 50 yds. Only reason for it was the creek was flowing pretty good. Surface was hard enough for the hut to ride on top but every other step broke through 6" of snow. Perch galore out there tonight. Never marked an eye. Hope that helps.

Jeepers. Get some bait and go for it. Perch are chasing up to 7' off bottom.

Pretty sure I will be going to Prendergast..... I've never been there so it will be different.
Its almost an hr drive from my house which is about the same as Willow bay on Kinzua which is my 2nd choice....
