Sleds seem to be doing fine out there. Slush is wherever a hole has been drilled. Winter fest is always Presidents' Day weekend.

Does mayville have safe ice with all this snow? Looking to bring my son out with me. Let him catch dinks till his arms get tired. Any info would be great guys. Got a 2 hr ride and if the ice ain't good I'd rather save the gas and just wait. Thanks

Who said you cant fish burtis. Iwas there last week. Fishing is slow just perch havent found the gills. There arent any weeds this year. At least i havent found any yet but it was tough to move around

Fished out of long point park. About 6" of ice with a good 6-8 of slush on top. Not fun. Tough walking.

I fished pentergrast yesterday in 25 flow and had 8" of black ice with 3" of white with 3-4" of slush and water and 4" of snow on top of it fishing was slow all day

came off the ice last night about 10. easy drag with nice crust of freezing rain over the snow, stayed on the beaten path. crappie bite is picking up!

Was planning a trip to chautaqua at the end of February! I live in Ohio but I fish this lake every summer. I do very good catching smallmouth and walleye. Does anyone have a report for walleye or smallmouth? This will be my first time on the ice at chautaqua

According to my NYS fishing reg's you can only target Black Bass as catch and release with artificial lures from 12/1 - the Fri preceding the 3rd Sat in June. don't waste your time with bass, go for walleye and perch.

finally made it out. stopped at Hogan's Hut for bait and snacks. Skip put me on some fish did alright keep 33 perch from 8 to 12 1/2. a few borderline calicos and smaller blue gills that I put back.
