Eskimo Redneck Ice Chisel Question
« on: Sep 23, 2010, 01:25 PM »
I have a gift card for Bass Pro Shops and was looking at the Eskimo Redneck Ice Chisel.  Does anybody know if it is worth buying?  Does it do the same as a spud bar would do?   ???

I have the bucket chisel also. Great tool. When  i looked at the chisel they were pretty much a spur with a groove in the tip.

Got one as a christmas gift last year, like it.  Heavy and built like a tank.  Helped get a portable unstuck from some ice last year, I'm sure it'll come in handy in the future.  Good portable size, but like I said, its heavy.
When the going gets tough, the tough go ICE FISHING.

I got the bucket chisel/hammer too! It's saved my backside a few times and is a real problem solver. ;)

got the bucket one too, and love it. looking into getting the longer one also.
If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 36 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by, you might live in northern New York

I just picked up the bucket hammer and the normal chisel The small one will be perfect for me to retrieve our cusk lines after a cold night. There is a big difference in weight also on the big one compared to my old chisel
