Title: Fishing in the rain
Post by: ftwwalleye on Jan 23, 2024, 08:50 AM
Anyone getting out today in the drizzle? I said yesterday was gonna be my last day but have the itch still to hit pond by my house after work. Bet the ice is slick as snot today. Be careful and hope folks got out.

I probably am after work. I'm afraid this could be the end. Definitely haven't gotten it out of my system yet.

I probably will after work today and maybe tomorrow as long as there isn't a lot of standing water on the ice, and the edges aren't toast from all this rain and meltoff.

Yeah...last night we had a bluegill dinner. Took a lot of fishing to get that. Hoping warmup has them turned on. I already hear the fat lady singing.

Thinking that lady will be singing Thursday or Friday around here. It flat out poured earlier this morning.  :'(

I went on a small pond for about an hour, that's all my feet were up to in work boots. Bite was very slow, missed a couple, and had one hookup on the Schooley that broke me off.
