Was out again today,  marked a few decent sized walleyes but they weren’t interested in anything,  very slow day

Yes. Access on at pretty well any boat launch. No snow accumulation to worry about.

Parkview was pretty good today.  Couple decent sized pike (30 inches) and as always, too many perch to count.

If anyone is willing to answer some questions I have regarding buffalo pound please send me a pm. Not looking for hot spots or coordinates. Just some basic lake questions. Thanks.

Went out to Buffalo pound for the first time. We fished in the middle of the town at Loneys point.. I think we caught 25 or so good size perch. Some cloudy ice I was a bit nervous about, my im sure it was fine.
great day, Thanks for the good info posted. Definitely helped out.

I drove out at loneys last night there was one little wooden shack gray colour on its side, then a big skid shack type was blowing apart and a mess around it. Sucks when the wind gets like this
SLAMMMM!!!! nailed it 🐟

Finally made it out to Buffalo Pound to have a go at the perch.  We went on at Valleyview and did the "this looks like a good spot".  Turns out it was.  We caught 1 fish at the 12" mark and the rest were considerably smaller.  Likely caught about 40 fish total in 6ish hours.  The bite wasn't crazy but there was never more than 5 minutes without a mark on the flasher.  Very happy I finally made it there, won't be the last time.

It will be close. I have put my 6" extension on so that the housing of the Jiffy doesn't get wet when I am pulling it back up. You can get through but it will be close to touching the ice.

Fished Valleyview and Parkview areas the past couple of weekends seeing how slow LML has been lately but we shall return to the big water come March. Buffalo Pound is new to me until this year and if your looking for perch action this lake is your best bet, but with that said it's like any lake and it can be Oooooh so quiet as well. From catching 50-60 perch in 3 hours one day to barely a limit of 10 the next I found it's just a matter of moving around a bit and you should be able to catch your limit of 10 most days. Granted the fish are generally smaller than those  found in LML it makes for some great action for the young and old fishermen in your group. Just need to find the walleye and Pike that I hear so much about and it really could be your Full Meal deal ice fishing lake.

Slow slow slow by the pump house today.  One small perch and one small pike in 5 hours.

I was out by Loney's point this morning. The perch were tough customers but still landed 42 in 3 hrs, as well as a nice solid sucker. It put up a great fight.

Any update on access at Loney's? Is there a clear path or is a snowblower required?
thanks

Hey Rapripper I heard some good souls blew out the drive on access at Loneys and it's all good to go as well as the parking lot got pushed out I guess, but once your on the lake your all on your own. Pretty heavy going I understand but with 4x4's and as soft as it is it shouldn't be an issue. One good wind to harden it up and it'll be a different story. Good luck...the weekend weather sounds promising.

Thanks Foozie, Pulled a buddy's shack off yesterday without much issue, not as much snow on ice as we expected. Thanks to the crew who cleaned up the launch/ramp area and the parking lot!!! Valley snow removal crews make city of Moose Jaw's look pretty weak. Good job folks!

I was at Loney's point on Sunday and 4x4 should have no problem getting around the ice. Fishing was good too.
