Was on Hauser and Fernan today ice is holding up well, ice is 9 inches on both lakes, 3 ices of clear at bottom, 6 inches of slushy frozen ice. The ice on the shore line on both is melting but still safe. If we have more warm weather will become unsafe. Wear your ice picks and invest in a spud bar.

Thanks for the update. I appreciate it

Cocolala snow gave us good traction. Ice is still 9inch on my ruler. No bite but I did have some quads drive by my group multiple times.

Just a curious question here. I've fished lower twin in the past for pike and hadn't stumbled across any unfortunately  and was considering going to upper twin tomorrow because I've got dinner with the mother in law but don't want to spend all day with her. So was planning on heading out in the am while I'm down that way. Typically I fish the more northern lakes and ponds, but I was wondering if anyone has any luck with pike in that area between upper and lower twin. I've been out there in the summer time and get ran over by the bigger boats in my canoe and I don't see why it wouldn't be a great pike spot in the winter. Was just curious if others actually ice fish it or not and what kind of luck they have. Thanks !

Hit Blue Lake yesterday with Yellowice.  Beautiful day on the ice but only 1 bite with 5 poles over 3+ hrs.  Ice was almost 13” and solid.  If it weren’t for a bit of drifted snow on the ice it would have been hard to stay up on 2 feet since I didn’t have my cleats on.

Nine inches of ice, 4 inches of snow on top, makes for pulling a sled harder, bite was slow.

Yeah I've fished it for years. How much snow is there on the road down to the lake?

Hit Blue Lake and it had 14” of solid ice with about 6” of snow on top.  Should be good for a few more days and possibly into next weekend.  A couple of hours on the ice and no bites and nothing on the flasher.  I guess the winds from the east….fish bite the least was spot on today.

Seen Kelsi has 10 inches solid ice with good trout bite.  Lower twin has 8 from what I heard and solid coming off shore.   Spirit should be good too hopefully heading out there this afternoon.

Ice is good on spirit probably 14 inches between snow pack and clear ice. You can drive down boat ramp now.  Solid shore line.
