I asked for it. I think I made it out more times last week than the entire previous year. But hey, I had fun!  ;)

It's good, you can walk to where you want around there, I don't think there is any snow on the road, do you have 4 wheel drive?

Got on today ;D been waiting for a year. Bite was slow and then the ice started cracking and moaning and bite just shut off. I was jigging for perch and set up a couple tip ups for pike with no luck. I'll be back up next week.

Finally got out to jig some lakers with a good buddy, headed out after 9 am and was home by 3 pm. The lakers were very cooperative, I iced 11 or 12 and lost several others; 2 biggest were 27-28", let them all go but one 23"er that was bleeding badly.

Wow , that some good fish. I wish I could get out there. But don't have a buddy to go with. Will not go out for the first time this year without a buddy system. Just everyone giving good signs then people saying stay away. If I was to walk out from the hearth would I be safe. I like to go up out of vets , and walk the 1/2 hr  walk , but people say not safe. So see what I mean. Anyone can send me private message its fine. Will checking message till 11pm. If anyone wants to meet up .

Hey i have fished at huletts a few times and caught perch good but was wondering about lakers is it a good place to set tipups with shiners or is jigging a better option.  And also what does everybody jig with for them.  I have only got one quite a few yrs ago and it was only like twenty inches.  any help would be awesome.

Lakers are all over the lake, but are generally caught in deeper water than perch are in. When I'm fishing perch I sometimes will catch a laker but I don't plan on it. I will jig for lakers in 80' of water.

What are you Jigging with to nail the lakers? I am going to fish in Hague this weekend. I can hit 80' there easily. I haven't had much success with lakers and thats all I want to catch.

I want to get over deeper water and fish for lakers but I have no clue where to go, Im looking for a place where parking is nice and I have small car that sucks in snow so it cant be a steep hill to get in and out. I know route 9L pretty well i was thinking about fort ann beach or any of the bays on 9L but still not sure where to park i would have to wing it haha im willing to go pretty far up into bolton too idk someone head me in the right direction please  ???
