I just ordered from www.Wholesalebait.com.  1000 wax worms.  $31.79 dollars this includes shipping.  I found another website last evening in the bait forum.  They have 1000 for $20.00 with free shipping.  They are located in WI.

That is the name of the place that I looked at last evening.  I was wondering if anyone tried these guys.  I guess I may be switching companies.

I ordered from grubco last year and the year before. Had them delivered to work and I have no problems.
This year I decided not to spend the money because it looked for so long that we were not going to get any ice. Then this 5 day cold spell hit and yesterday I went to see if the local Gander mountain had any and I bought some there, just in casr it gets cold enough.  :P

Might be able to gt out by next weekend.

Anyone interested - Mike's Bait and Sport Shop in Nazareth has them. 250 Waxies for $7.99 or small packs of 40 for $250. They are open 7 days a week.

Has anyone tried freezing their leftover waxworms? I was wondering if they will last thru a freeze. Dont care if they're alive as long as they still have juice in them. Would like to take my leftovers down south to use.

i ordered grubs and wax worms from wholesalebait.com yesterday.  they emailedme back saying the wax worms are backordered as they are having a hard time getting them.  i don.t know if this is due to the honey bee virus or not.  i often heard that wax worms were a bee larva.  it this true?  jobo :o

I just ordered 2000 colored spikes from Vado's for $15.00. Unfortunatly they don't list the shipping until after you order. They charged me $18.00 for S&H. >:( Make sure you know the shipping $$$ they charge you before you order. $18.00 for shipping from Minnesota to PA is nuts.

They do that to make their money. They offer a great price and people order it and then realize their great price isn't go great anymore.

One of the wholesalers up in NY (who ships via Fedex) refused to bill the shipping costs to my employee account (I work for fedex) since then they could only charge me $5 for shipping instead of the $13 they normally charge. I'd have saved a whole dollar by having them bill it to my account rather than theres but then they wouldn't make a $7 profit on shipping.

They are the larvae of the bee moth.

I couldn't find waxworms in the bait shops so an inspiration struck me and I went to Petsmart.  Got a pretty good deal and they were pretty nice waxworms too.  And they caught fish.  Something to keep in mind, and they have all sorts of other "bait" there too to feed their little critters.

I've always wondered if live crickets from a pet shop would work as bait for ice fishing. I mean how does a bluegill know that crickets aren't around during winter?
