Ambridge Rez (Suggested Bait)
« on: Jan 12, 2015, 03:04 PM »
Anyone have any suggestions on bait to use at the Ambridge Rez?  Went there last night and had no bite with meals or minnows.

Didn't mean to make a stir.  Just always see a ton of people fishing there all summer.  Thanks for the heads up.

Probably "jail bait" if it says No Trespassing.   Many water supply reservoirs such as Ambridge, Ebensburg, Quemahoning, and Beaver Run over near 286/380 are off limits to fishing. And I should clarify that since you can legally open water fish Quemahoning even with a boat but no gas motors allowed.   Lou

Even though you can't fish there.   I would use Mousies ,rat'sos or  rat tails.  I here there a lot of big Cats in that lake ....

Lake is available to the select few that have permission. Both summer and winter. Yes I have seen the motor boats and ice fishermen.

Fish at your own risk. Drove through today. 50/50 open water and ice.

I think the word has always been out. Everytime I go "hiking" out there, I always see people. And if you're privileged to be one of the select few with permission, I think we all paid 32.80$ for a license.

How's the ice, if there is any. People already along the shore. I guess it's time to go "hiking" out there.

Never hide your auger down at the lake. Make sure you put it in your shanty....

I agree with you, very risky, however permits are permitted to fish there. You just gotta read between the lines.
