Sounds like we are in the same sled! 9 back surgeries over last decade with the St. Jude spinal Stimulator implant 2 years ago. Traveling light and having a strong young fishing partner helps. Safety on the ice is more important to me than anything else now. Hope the surgery has been a success and work hard in physical therapy it will pay off when hitting the ice.
Good Luck good fishing  and be safe.

Just got out of surgery for a torn meniscus.  Recovery time should be a week to 10 days.  Wanted to get it done before hunting season, and ice fishing.

Gonna need  BIG lake to get all the geezers on at one time
something else that's been on my mind for a while   shouldn't there be special regulations for handicapped to be able to ride their scooters or some other mode of transportation to get on the lake to fish

Best of luck to ya. Have had three major spinal surgeries; numerous procedures. Mne didn't work. Glad yours have helpes; take it easy, tha takes a LONG time to heal properly. No reason to rush it, or try to lift/do things you shouldn't. I know about that.  ::) Hope all works out well.

Good luck to you who are recovering, My girlfriend is going through some serious issues with her back, MRI came back inconclusive, next step is a discogram I guess.  She can hardly walk at times, and I feel so bad not being able to ease her pain.  Back problems are the worst and I wish everyone the best.
