 Does anyone have any input on White Perch tip up fishing? Such as rigs and bait, where to go?

here in NY we jig them up , but some guys use tip downs and minnows , I prefer to jig if you can whined them up it can be non stop action , here i use raps and small spoons tipped with a minnow head , once you canget the rhythm down it's a panic through the ice
