another last outing
« on: Apr 02, 2020, 02:53 PM »
I guess, my pond at 1350 ft still has 12 fishable inches of reliable ice. Went out Tuesday & Wed. the edge at the launch was still fine no plank required, inlets are flowing, stayed clear of them and had a grand old time as usual. Jiggeg up a few slimey darts and yp. Might go one more time as time permits...

Stay healthy everyone, I do enjoy reading on the forum, thanks...

That's awesome glad you found some good ice.....I went North on the 31st for lakers and found a ton of ice on first Connecticut. Ice in my area is gone unfortunately.

yes there is ice out there as it has not been really warm...at all! I'm no risk taker either, if its sketchy I'm not goin..
I caught my first brown thru the ice on my birthday April 7th, many many years ago and there was 32 inches of ice....same lake :o). Times is changing... For the two lakes I fish on, its not so different than other seasons, just different ice. Like on those years when the ice is crazy thick, when it gets to 12 inches, i would not fish it.
