tipdown line????
« on: Dec 31, 2004, 02:36 AM »
just wondering what u guys use?  i plan on making a couple this weekend using the old school jigging poles and dont know what to do for the reelpart of the project.  i will be fishing for perch most of the time.  should i use my regular line or go with a dacron/braided backer and use aleader.  on my jig rods im using 2#  vanquish flouro.  i  will be using minnows is it ok to jump to like a 6# mtest in case of the ocassional pike?  is this too visible for perch?  thx fzr.

I use 6# green stren...some times I attach a lighter leader...especially if I'm targeting Crappie.
