which do you prefer 1 hook gaf or 3 hook gaf ??

I've had both the single and the triple, I like the treble better because I don't have to worry about the hook being at the right angle.

sorry to use you post GFHFG, but are gaffs really necessary.  i have seen them and was wondering if they are actually useful.

3 hook gaff up here for sure.

a large weighted treble hook sunk into the end of a 6' length of PVC tubing. Warm it over the stove and push the weighted treble in the end, cheap and works well.

Only use the gaff on fish you plan to take home of course.
