Title: Clam X400
Post by: IceCutterIon on Jan 30, 2020, 01:17 PM
So I've been looking at the X400, wondering if anyone has had some experience with this mammoth of a flip. I've started taking my boys on overnighters and just need that little bit of extra room. The otter is great for one person on a weekend trip. If the X400 is awesome the Otter Pro Resort sleeper shack might just have to go to a new home.

I have the X300 and it is great but heavy. The X400 would be VERY HEAVY. The advantage of the 400 is 2 separate fishing areas but still being close enough to share and talk.

Ya I'm not to worried about weight. I only use my sleeper for overnighters and only a machine drag. Do you like the construction of the X300. Brackets poles etc.

The construction of both the sled (heavy duty) and the fabric have seemed great. The poles themselves are square instead of round and work well. I can set it up by myself in a wind. I LOVE the space and the 3 separate doors. The lights are integrated into the poles which would be nice for an overnighter.

I could easily imagine a couple cots on one side of the sled and fishing on the other.

Get the heavy duty Clam hitch. It really is tough and you need it for the weight.
