Meritt lake
« on: Jan 28, 2018, 10:45 PM »
Going to be in valentine for work and was wondering if anyone can give me any info on where to go at meritt lake? Never been there and will be coming down from hwy 20. Is there places to go to close enough for dragging a sled? Any info would greatly appreciated!

Beads landing in the boardman. Find the submerged trees. If you want to walk a little farther put in at cable hill up the snake. It’s kinda hard to fish without knowledge of where to look for the trees but after the tournament last weekend they should all have holes over them.

Thank you very much! Is this place you say to fish close enough to park my truck? How far of a walk? Mile?

You could walk a 1/2 mile in either direction at beads and find plenty of spots to fish. Later season usually has better fishing up the snake though but you could walk a mile or more to find them. If you have Navionics app most of the trees will be along the edge of the old river channel. If you’ve never been there though, beads may be easier.

If you put in at cable hill though, head west for better fishing
