Title: landing fish
Post by: shrub on Feb 01, 2005, 06:36 PM: when you guys hook a fish do you reel it in our put the rod in the a holder and pull it in boy hand?

what if you hook a big crappie or bluegill and it goes on a run when your handlining it, and you don't feel it and it breaks your 1 lb. test line?
I personally reel them in... easier, more efficient, and more fun!

Post by: TroutFishingBear on Feb 16, 2005, 05:53 PM: should be fine. Those bigger perch and crappie hit light though, so make sure you thumb the line unless that is a supersensitive rod!
