All of us in WNY will be drinking all of our liquor straight seeing as how we currently have no ice!

I have seen a few ice houses out on the lake.  The ice is about 12-15" with a 6' wide river running between a pressure ridge. :o

Straight water for me this year, but we have plenty of ice. The sun just crept out from behind the last cloud in the sky and my gal just suggested we go fishing today... Can't beat Christmas on the ice no matter what your drinking! I feel for everyone who has no ice to stand on and I will be sending thoughts of arctic cold fronts your way. Cheers!

Actually he brought me a bottle of High West. Somehow I cannot bring myself to water it down with ice.  Neat with a bit of dark chocolate. Mmmmmmmm!

Not much better than sipping some sour mash on a cold day while fishing! Fine brandy isn't to bad either.
When there is ice on the lakes, I never make employee of the month!

This is for the "ICE IN" Celebration the night before and also afterwards to warm up; with, or without fish.

No ice here after a warm and rainy week, so it's Glenlivet for me; I can't stand the taste of jack after getting hooked on single malt scotch. When on a budget I go for Jameson.

Gentleman Jack straight up please!
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the ice like an idiot! I won't tell you which side of the line I'm on.
